Final Review
Calculus II / Dr. Rachel / Dec 17, 2007
|
REVIEW SESSION: SUNDAY 8PM, ROOM 303A SCIENCE CENTER |
I recommend that you go over your textbook (see reading guides online), homework, and notes and look at the Jeopardy problems. Do as many as you need to be prepared for the final. Some of the final problems will be similar to these problems.
If you attend the review session Sunday evening, you can check your solutions to all problems with the TA, Bill Naydan. (The answers to the odd problems are in the book, but the book doesn’t give solutions.)
If you have concerns about any particular problems or topics, please email me (rhall@sju.edu) and Bill (william.naydan@sju.edu) before the review session and I will ask him to go over them in the session.
Reminder: Bring 3”x5” index card with you to the test with any notes, formulas, or whatever (prayers?) that will help you on the final. The final is on Monday, December 17, 2:00-4:00 pm, Bellarmine 115. I expect that you will need the entire two hours to complete the final.
The final covers everything we covered in class except
7.6 (integration with tables)
You should also review limit laws and section 4.4
Chapter 5, Section 5.5
Chapter 6, Section 6.1-6.4
Chapter 7, Sections 7.1-7.5 and 7.8
Supplementary material on distributions
Chapter 11, Sections 11.1-11.10
Problems: Do all the problems from the Jeopardy game. You can either download the PowerPoint or a printable version. If you’re planning to use Maple, practice using the sequence and sum commands on Maple.
ANSWERS to the Jeopardy game are online.
