Quiz 3 Review

Calculus II / Dr. Rachel / Nov 5, 2007

REVIEW SESSION:  SUNDAY 4PM, SCIENCE CENTER 303A

I recommend that you go over your textbook (see reading guides online), homework, and notes and look at the Jeopardy problems.  Do as many as you need to be prepared for the quiz.  Some of the quiz problems will be similar to these problems.

If you attend the review session Sunday afternoon, you can check your solutions to all problems with the TA, Bill Naydan.  (The answers to the odd problems are in the book, but the book doesn’t give solutions.)

If you have concerns about any particular problems or topics, please email me (rhall@sju.edu) and Bill (william.naydan@sju.edu) before the review session and I will ask him to go over them in the session.

Reminder:  a large part of the test is to be done without any technology, other than some cheap calculators I’ll bring so you can check your arithmetic if you want.  I’ll make the numbers as nice as I can!  For the other part of the test, you can use any technology, including your calculators and Maple.

Chapter 11, Sections 11.1 and 11.2

You should also review limit laws and L’Hospital’s Rule (Section 4.4)

Problems:  Do all the problems from the Jeopardy game. You can either download the PowerPoint or a printable version.  Also, look at p. 710, 1-39 odd, p. 711, 55, 57, 59, and p. 720, 1-45 odd.  If you’re planning to use Maple, practice using the sequence and sum commands on Maple.
