OPEN PROBLEMS
Complex Analysis
Spring 2006
When mathematicians refer to an “open problem,”
they mean a problem that no one has solved! Here are some problems that
are “open,” at least for our class. Except where indicated, the
first person to solve them and write out a complete proof will earn the
points. I will accept solutions from a group, but the points will be
divided among the members. If a
problem remains unsolved, the number of points it is worth goes up...

Problems 1, 2,
and 4 were solved by Brittany, and problem 1 was solved by Jiaming. Problem 3 is now worth 2 points, and each
part of problem 5 is worth 1 point (for a
total of 5 points). |
