Counting Worksheet for Nov. 15, 2002If you can do this worksheet, you will have zero problems doing the exam questions from section 4.1.
There are some pretty tough ones on here, however.
The final exam schedule is out. We have our final on Thursday Dec. 12 from 2-4 in Bellarmine 301.

Class todayWe will wrap up chapter 3 and will talk about the exam. I'm a bit concerned by the dropoff in HW handed in and I hope we aren't being set up for a fall in this exam. You should expect at least a single problem on setting up a word problem.
I will not be collecting the Homework that I assigned on Tuesday.

Class this weekSorry for not updating this the last two weeks. We have class tomorrow and will be continuing to cover section 3.3. We have an exam on Friday which will cover only Chapter 3. I will have a review worksheet for you.
I ask you to be patient with the material as it definitely is difficult. I'll try to make the exam as fair as I can.

Class TodayWe are continuing to cover section 3.1. We should get through x >= 0 and bounded and unbounded. I suspect we will finish this section in our next class period.
Advising will start in earnest next week and go through Nov. 22 when you will register for classes. Please feel free to approach me regarding questions you have about this class and others.

Review for Exam 2I will hand this out in class tomorrow. The exam is Friday. We will be finishing 2.3 over the next class and a half and then will spend some time reviewing on Wednesday.

Class this weekAs discussed today, we are looking at a test either the day before or one of the two days after Fall Break. I'm not leaning either way, but consider yourself forewarned.
We will spend the rest of the week covering 2.3 after finishing up with 2.2 today.

Class TodayI returned the exam. The average score was 78, so overall I thought people did well. The material changes in this next session, so we will need to be vigilant on the homework. The solutions to the exam are in the library.

Class Yesterday and TodayWe finished up most of 0.6. I may do one more example today in class. We will then talk about the exam and do a logarithms worksheet in class.

First Exam ReviewTitle says it all. I will hand this out on Tuesday, so that you can prepare any questions you might have for our review on Wednesday.
Tomorrow we will finish off Chapter 1, by completing Sect. 0.6.
