Final Exam ReviewGood job this semester. You worked hard and did a good job. All the info you need for the final exam is listed above.
Class on Monday will be optional and I will answer any questions you might have for the final. If you don't have any questions, I'll just dismiss class.
All the previous exam reviews should be available on this page as well.

Counting Worksheet for Nov. 15, 2002If you can do this worksheet, you will have zero problems doing the exam questions from section 4.1.
There are some pretty tough ones on here, however.
The final exam schedule is out. We have our final on Thursday Dec. 12 from 2-4 in Bellarmine 301.

Class today
We will wrap up chapter 3 and will talk about the exam. I'm a bit concerned by the dropoff in HW handed in and I hope we aren't being set up for a fall in this exam. You should expect at least a single problem on setting up a word problem.
I will not be collecting the Homework that I assigned on Tuesday.

Class this weekSorry for not updating this the last two weeks. We have class tomorrow and will be continuing to cover section 3.3. We have an exam on Friday which will cover only Chapter 3. I will have a review worksheet for you.
I ask you to be patient with the material as it definitely is difficult. I'll try to make the exam as fair as I can.
We also had our commentaries due on Friday of last week. I will get them graded this week.
I am going to pass out a form asking if you wish to remain in the freshman seminar section for next semester. Either way, please let me know as soon as possible.

Class TodayWe are continuing to cover section 3.1. We should get through x >= 0 and bounded and unbounded. I suspect we will finish this section in our next class period.
Advising will start in earnest next week and go through Nov. 22 when you will register for classes. Please feel free to approach me regarding questions you have about this class and others.

Class todayI have graded the exams and they will be handed back today. Overall folks did very well. I am quite pleased with the results. We need to keep working hard as this next chapter is almost certainly unlike anything that you have seen before.
I will introduce chapter 3 and discuss single-variable linear inequalities and then hand back the exams.

Class this weekAs discussed today, we are looking at a test either the day before or one of the two days after Fall Break. I'm not leaning either way, but consider yourself forewarned.
We will spend the rest of the week covering 2.3 after finishing up with 2.2 today.

Class todayAll in all, I was pleased with the performances on the test, but I'm hopeful that we can continue to improve on your first exam performances.
Chapter 2 is going to be a good deal different than what you've done in the past, so you will need to continue bearing down on the material and doing your homework conscientiously.
We began section 2.1 today and will finish it over Tuesday and Wednesday.
