Final Exam Review.
The final exam is Thursday, December 12,
from 2:00pm to 4:00pm in BELLARMINE 301.
You may use a calculator on the exam. It would be
very helpful to have a calculator that has permutations and
combinations and you will need to know how to use it. You will not
have any notes or formulas available to you.
Office Hours: I will have office hours next week
from 9-10 on Monday, 1-2 on Monday, 3-5 on Tuesday, 1-4 on Wednesday,
9-11 on Thursday.
Tutoring: The math department and Learning Resource
Center will have walk-in tutoring from 10am to 6pm on Wednesday
Dec. 11 in Science 302. I will be there from 10am to 11:30am.
Test Questions: The exam will be two hours long, so
you should expect 5-7 questions from each of the four chapters we
covered. The exam questions will predominantly look like things that
were on the individual chapter tests. There may be a handful of other
questions that we covered in homework or in class, but were not on the
individual exams. Studying your four previous exams is the bare
minimum of what you should do, though it is something that you
absolutely should do.
Test Keys: All the keys for the previous exams are
on reserve in the library.
Current Grades: On your fourth exam, I have placed
the following four scores.
Semester HW grade (out of 100)
Grade if you were to skip the final
Current overall average
Grade if you were to ace the final
Final Grades: I hope to complete grading the exams on Friday and will submit final grades electronically that day. Assuming I am able to complete grading the exams, your grade should be available through my.sju.edu by Saturday or Sunday. If you have any questions, first review your homework and four exam grades and then make an appointment to speak with me. I'll be on campus all week from the 16th to the 19th.
