Introduction
The mathematics component of the Ignatian College Connection (ICC) Summer
Program is a three week program for high school students who are entering their
junior or senior year in high school. The goals of the program are to develop
research skills, to cultivate confidence and independence while learning
mathematics, and to encourage students to continue to study mathematics as they
further their education. During the three week program students are
introduced to an area of mathematics that is unfamiliar to them. The aim
is to instruct students in the art of mathematical thinking and its many
applications to the world in which they live.
