Steven Miller, Ph.D., CPCU, ARM
Steve obtained his doctorate in Risk Management and Insurance (RMI) from the University of Georgia. Prior to joining academia, Steve worked as a consultant for corporate risk managers. Most of his consulting work was performed at Marsh where Steve helped large, international organizations leverage data and technology to meet risk management objectives. Steve has extensive international experience, managing consulting engagements around the globe.
In 2009, he joined St. Joseph's University to help launch their new major in Risk Management and Insurance. He has recently been invited to serve as a Visiting Foreign Scholar by the Central University of Finance and Economics (CUFE) in Beijing, China. The visiting position is sponsored by China's Ministry of Education to support a cultural exchange in RMI teaching and research.
He has published articles in a number of academic journals, including the Journal of Risk and Insurance, Journal of Corporate Finance, Journal of Banking and Finance, Journal of Insurance Issues, and Journal of Insurance Regulation.

Prior to his academic career, Steve worked as a consultant for Aon and Marsh where Steve helped corporate risk managers leverage data and systems to meet risk management objectives. While consulting, Steve was based in Chicago, New York and London and has extensive international experience, managing large-scale consulting engagements around the globe.
