Assistant Director, Admission

James Jackson is the Assistant Director for Inclusion & Diversity Initiatives in the Saint Joseph’s University Office of Undergraduate Admission. In this role he develops and implements recruitment initiatives for students historically underrepresented in higher education. With nearly a decade of experience as an admission professional, Jackson prides himself on the work he does with students and supporting the University’s commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion. He received his B.A. in Communication Studies from Canisius College in Buffalo, NY and is currently working on his M.S. in Organizational Development & Leadership at Saint Joseph’s.
Jackson was born and raised in Schenectady, NY where as a young person he discovered his love for public speaking and working directly with people. This love has developed him into a highly sought presenter, trainer, and motivational speaker. His ability to connect with individuals and use his own experience with the college selection process as an example, has been influential in helping students to make their best college decision. Jackson loves what he does and looks forward to seeing many more students achieve their goal of earning their college degree.
