MJ Connell is a South Philadelphia native and joined the Saint Joseph’s admission team in August 2021. MJ is responsible for recruiting in Long Island, New York, and the entire south and southwest regions of the United States. He is also the admission counselor for international students.
MJ has been in admission for three years and is Jesuit-educated. He started his Jesuit journey attending high school at St. Joseph’s Preparatory School, going on to complete his undergraduate studies at Spring Hill College before taking a few years to return home to Philadelphia and work at SJU. He is very passionate and dedicated to prospective students and looks forward to working with them in the hope of welcoming them into the St. Joe’s family.
If he isn’t golfing or passionately cheering at a Philly sporting event, you can probably find MJ eating at one of Philly’s many delicious restaurants or sandwich shops. He is a great resource for recommendations on what to do in the City of Brotherly Love.
