Sofia Fallas '18 ‘22 has dedicated her time and passion for higher education to the Saint Joseph's community since 2014 — first giving campus tours as a student, and now as a professional member of the Office of Undergraduate Admission. Sofia has served families and students from Maryland, DC and Virginia for the last four years.
As a proud first-generation Latina of two Costa Rican immigrant parents, she has embedded her passion for diversity, equity and inclusion in her role as an admission counselor. Sofia recently earned her Master's of Science in organization development and leadership here at Saint Joseph’s University as well, with focuses in diversity, inclusion and belonging and organizational dynamics and leadership.
Sofia currently serves as the supervisor for the Hawk Hosts, Saint Joseph's team of tour guides. Having been a Hawk Host herself in her undergraduate career, she enjoys opportunities to connect with current students and provide them with the tools and experiences to share the SJU community with prospective students and families.
Sofia is an active member of the Pennsylvania Association for College Admission Counseling (PACAC) and the Potomac & Chesapeake Association for College Admission Counseling (PCACAC). She has served as part of PACAC's Professional Development Committee through their DEI Subcommittee and looks to continue her involvement moving forward.
