On-Campus Housing
On-campus housing at Saint Joseph's offers more than just a place to live. It’s a place to make friends, socialize and learn from others whose ideas and experiences differ from your own. It’s a place where you are welcomed into a safe and comfortable community - a home away from home.
-
Saint Joseph's four first year communities offer two different living options. McShain and Villiger Residence Centers offer traditional style living. You’ll live on a wing of 30-40 students, sharing a lounge and a large central bathroom. LaFarge and Sourin Residence Centers offer suite style living, with 6-17 students in a suite that includes a common area and bathroom.
-
For transfers, Saint Joseph's offers a variety of housing options, from campus houses to apartments and townhouses. We work individually with you to place you into the option that will work best for you. If you are interested in living with other transfer students, we offer an exclusive community for incoming transfer students where you can build upon your previous college experiences in a new, centrally-located living environment.
-
Interested in living with others who share your specific major or interests? Saint Joseph’s Residential Learning Communities (RLCs) offer an opportunity for you to develop close relationships with other students over shared interests. RLCs offer focused programming, tailored faculty and staff interactions, and participation in site visits and field trips.
First-year RLCs are currently offered for students who are majoring in business or the sciences or who want to develop their strengths as emerging leaders. RLCs for upperclassmen are centered around the arts, business, and service to others.

Off-Campus Housing
Saint Joseph’s University is strengthened by the vitality of the the Wynnefield, Overbrook Farms, Bala Cynwyd and Merion Station neighborhoods that surround campus. These neighborhoods, as well as Manayunk just a short drive away, are places that students often look to if they decide to move off campus.
In collaboration with other offices at Saint Joseph’s University, Off-Campus Student Life works with students and non-students to encourage a positive quality of life and desirable off campus community.
