A big part of your SJU experience will be applying what you learn in class to real life.
There are a great number of resources at Saint Joseph’s can help you gain a professional internship or co-op opportunity as an undergraduate. Maybe you’ll be a Summer Scholar and conduct chemistry research alongside your favorite faculty mentor, or you might turn a sociology class assignment into a fundraiser. You could also choose to spend a semester abroad in China, Ecuador, Ghana, Ireland, Italy, or Spain.
Hawk Hill is home, but our hawks soar to different countries, engage with diverse communities, participate in professional opportunities, and continuously give back to their communities.
By the time they have graduated, 95 percent of the students in Saint Joseph’s class of 2014 had completed a semester-long internship, co-op, part-time job, service commitment, or a semester studying abroad program.
The Center for International Programs at Saint Joseph’s University offers both short- and long-term options for students interested in studying abroad. Semester- and year-long programs allow students to become fully immersed in a specific culture and area, while summer programs and study tours provide a shorter option, allowing for all students to fit travel into their academic schedule. The University maintains relationships with programs in over 19 different countries across Europe, Latin America, Asia, Africa, and Australia.
