Managing Human Capital
The managing human capital degree at Saint Joseph’s University prepares students for careers in the human resources (HR) management field. We not only teach functional knowledge but help students develop the skills that are necessary to HR practices in contemporary business organizations.
Human resources management involves the attraction, retention, development and distribution of an organization’s most important asset: its human capital. There has never been a more exciting time to join this growing field as organizations increasingly differentiate themselves through their people.
Students will become well-prepared to take HR roles as generalists, employee relations specialists, compensation specialists, human capital analysts, trainers, recruiting specialists and more.
As we are recognized by The Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) as an aligned program, students in good standing in their final year of study who meet the relevant criteria can apply to take the exam to become a SHRM Certified Professional. The certification is a globally recognized standard in the HR profession.
Our program is flexible to fit the individual needs of each student and offers daytime, evening and online courses.
