Real Estate Finance Minor
Overview
The Real Estate Finance Minor At Saint Joseph’s University allows students with an interest in real estate to gain an understanding of the theory and practice of finance within the industry.
Opportunities for employment in the real estate sector continue to grow at a significant rate. Assessors, appraisers, sales agents, and brokers with an understanding of property valuation and a background in market finance are highly sought after by employers. At Saint Joseph’s University, students gain a competitive edge by earning a minor in real estate finance.
The Real Estate Finance minor provides students with the opportunity to gain an understanding of the theory and practice of the real estate industry. The minor requires students to complete a six-course program of study with core classes covering topics such as commercial real estate valuation, residential loans and investments, and commercial real estate development.
As part of their course of study, students enrolled in the minor will receive training in ARGUS, a software tool commonly used for valuing commercial properties.
