David Logerstedt’s research focuses primarily on acute and post-traumatic knee injuries to advance the scientific evidence of the effects of rehabilitation and its long-term impact on joint health. His particular interests are on the development and implementation of translational knowledge to optimize function and reduce the incidence of long-term participation restrictions in physically active individuals with musculoskeletal injury. Dr. Logerstedt teaches in the musculoskeletal track of the physical therapy curriculum. In addition, he teaches physical therapy examination and interventions, and differential diagnosis. Logerstedt is a board-certified sports clinical specialist. He is a member of the sports, orthopaedic, and research sections of the American Physical Therapy Association and a member of the American Association for the Advancement of Science.
