Mary Ann Cook, MBA
Mary Ann Cook is a visiting instructor with the Finance Department, and the Maguire Academy of Insurance and Risk Management. She teaches Disaster Planning and Community Recovery (RMI 150), Introduction to Insurance (RMI 200), and Insurance Company Operations (RMI 310). Prior to joining St. Joseph’s University, Ms. Cook was a senior vice president at The Institutes in Malvern, engaging in the design and development of designation programs, as well as writing and presenting on a variety of topics including insurance operations, coverages and the agent and broker marketplace. Additionally, Ms. Cook served as the Executive Director of the American Risk and Insurance Association (ARIA). Prior to that, she worked with leading regional and national insurance brokerages, specializing in risk analysis, account broking, surplus lines, benefits, and program business.
