The Philadelphia Department of Health has lifted the latest indoor masking mandate effective immediately. Saint Joseph’s will follow suit, no longer requiring masking indoors in shared common spaces on campus and on shuttles.

Members of the University community may always choose to wear masks as they deem personally appropriate. To this end, any student, staff or faculty member may request those around them to wear a mask when in classrooms, meeting in private offices or other shared spaces. Everyone should be prepared to wear a mask if asked, which means all members of the Saint Joseph’s community must carry masks (cloth, surgical or KN95-type) at all times as we navigate the remainder of the semester.

The University continues to monitor this situation closely and follow the latest guidance of the Philadelphia Department of Public Health. Thank you for your patience and attentiveness to these important health and safety communications.
