Cassandra joined the Kinney Center in 2020 bringing over 9 years experience in a variety of capacities within the human service industry. Cassandra began her career as an undergraduate student in direct care and continued to advance both educationally and professionally. Cassandra has extensive experience working within educational, residential, crisis stabilization and community settings for both children and adults with intellectual/developmental disabilities and co-occurring mental health disorders.
Her experience is inclusive of parent and staff training, implementation of ABA across the lifespan and significant reduction of high-risk challenging behaviors. With a passion for continued acquired and shared knowledge, her research interests include the assessment and treatment of high-risk behaviors for clients with co-occurring disorders, staff training and collaboration and treatment efficacy between Behavior Analysts and other clinical professionals. Cassandra has a passion for making ABA application both "practical and fun" in order to increase the quality of life for all individuals and caretakers involved. Cassandra is excited to join the Kinney Center to continue to support its strong mission in education, training and support.
Cassandra earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Rutgers University and Master of Arts degree in Psychology from the Chicago School of Professional Psychology. She also completed her postgraduate certification in Applied Behavior Analysis from the Chicago School of Professional Psychology and obtained her Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification in 2018.
