Results and Outcomes

A Jesuit university, Saint Joseph's educates men and women who use their education to make the world better. A student in Saint Joseph's first class of 1851 became a justice of the United State Supreme Court. Today there are approximately 50,000 living Saint Joseph's alumni in law, medicine, business, finance, communications and education -- strengthening their professions and their communities in every part of the world.

At Saint Joseph's, humanities and social sciences form the backbone of the Jesuit liberal arts core. As such, graduates in these fields – from English and history to political science and area studies to psychology and fine arts – enjoy careers in the widest variety of professions. Positions in communications and technology are common outcomes, as are graduate studies in business, law and education. Alumni in these fields are outstanding speakers, writers and advocates for public and private sector issues, and typically rise to significant leadership roles in both civic and corporate settings. Graduates can be found in elected office, senior management positions and throughout the mass media.
