Saint Joseph’s University’s College of Professional and Liberal Studies (CPLS) has expanded its SJU Professional continuing education division by offering not-for-credit online courses through a new partnership with Ed2Go. A leader in adult enrichment education, this partnership will allow CPLS to dynamically offer a variety of continuing education courses each semester.

“Our new partnership with Ed2Go allows us to adjust our SJU Professional continuing education online course offerings according to industry and market demands,” said Art Martin, director of online and continuing education for CPLS.

“We want to equip students with the skills they need to advance their education and their careers. This partnership will allow us to give our students access to nationally known authors and experts in a variety of fields, and ultimately a competitive edge in the market, while supporting the future of others who enroll in the College of Professional and Liberal Studies.”

Proceeds from all SJU Professional programming supports the establishment of the CPLS scholarship fund used exclusively for the benefit of CPLS students.

“Having these not-for-credit online courses available to the SJU community and beyond will support the needs of many constituents—SJU alums and friends who are interested in continuing education opportunities, current students as they prepare for advanced study, as well as the CPLS student who needs additional scholarship support to continue their adult undergraduate education,” said Patricia Griffin, ’81 (M.A.) associate dean of the CPLS.

Courses currently cover four general areas: test preparation, software skills, career and personal development.  “This is a tremendous opportunity for the university to extend its support of our world-wide alumni beyond graduation”, stated Tom Monaghan, executive director, alumni relations. “The Continuing Education Units (CEUs) awarded for many of these courses will benefit them in their professional careers.”

Each course is designed to be affordable, fast and convenient for the adult learner. Length of courses ranges from the traditional semester to an expedited six-week model. For more information or to see how easy and convenient it is to enroll go to
