Former Secretary of State Dr. Condoleezza Rice to Speak at Saint Joseph’s University

Wednesday, September 11, 2019

Former Secretary of State Dr. Condoleezza Rice will discuss her new book, "To Build A Better World: Choices To End The Cold War And Create A Global Commonwealth," as part of the Evelyn S. and Anthony M. ’60 Carfagno Endowed Lecture Series at Saint Joseph’s University on Wednesday, Sept. 11.

Rice will sit in conversation with her co-author, Dr. Philip Zelikow, former executive director of the 9/11 Commission, and moderator Craig Snyder, president of the World Affairs Council of Philadelphia.

In their book, nearly 30 years after the fall of the Berlin Wall, Rice and Zelikow, depict a definitive account of how the Cold War was brought to an end. This account of one of the 20th century’s most defining moments will engage audience members with the history that provides context to the geopolitical present.

The event is sponsored by the Haub School of Business at Saint Joseph’s University, the Evelyn S. and Anthony M. '60  Carfagno Endowed Lecture Series and the World Affairs Council's 70th Anniversary Signature Events Series of Philadelphia.
