PHILADELPHIA (August 13, 2009) – The "America's Best Colleges" 2010 edition of U.S. News & World Report has ranked Saint Joseph's University among the top 15 master's universities in the north for the 12th consecutive year. The rankings, released on August 20, placed Saint Joseph's at No. 10 in its category, Best Universities-Master's (North). SJU was No. 8 in 2009, but has seen its ranking fluctuate regularly between Nos. 8-10 over the past six years.

Highlights of the college rankings are published in the September issue of the magazine, available on newsstands on Monday, August 24. The 2010 America's Best Colleges guidebook is available the following day.

"As a new academic year approaches, the student experience is our top priority as a faculty and staff," said University President Timothy R. Lannon, S.J. "While we are delighted to be recognized for these efforts, it is hardly necessary to confirm what is already so true: namely, that Saint Joseph's University is an outstanding place to teach, learn, live and work.”
