PHILADELPHIA (April 2, 2008) -- The Erivan K. Haub School of Business at Saint Joseph's University was recognized by U.S. News & World Report as having the No. 1 part-time M.B.A. program in Pennsylvania. This is the fourth time in six years that the Haub School's professional (part-time) M.B.A. program has been ranked by U.S. News & World Report's survey as one of the top 25 part-time programs in the nation.

The University's professional M.B.A. distinguishes itself with its ethics-based curriculum and focus on developing leaders with strong analytical skills, technical competence and social responsibility.

"My experience as a student in the professional M.B.A. program has been remarkable," commented Steve Alvater. "We're not just learning from a textbook, there are many opportunities for us to apply classroom theory through group projects and partnerships with local businesses."

With more than 90 percent of Saint Joseph's M.B.A. students pursuing the degree on a part-time basis, the program was also recognized for its flexibility and distinctive format which provides a convenient alternative to traditional mid-week classes. The professional M.B.A. is offered Monday through Thursday evenings, as well as on Saturday with either full day classes or morning classes. The degree can also be pursued either full-time or part-time at the University's main campus in Philadelphia or at Ursinus College in Collegeville.

Matthew Pedicino, a New York City sales associate with Morgan Stanley Investment Management, is taking advantage of Saturday classes to pursue his degree despite living two hours away. "Saint Joseph's offered me more flexibility than any other program I researched," he said.

HSB Dean Joseph DiAngelo, Jr. Ed.D.  is proud to be recognized once again by U.S. News for the professional M.B.A program. "Our success in the rankings is a testament to the academic opportunities we provide, and the reputation of our highly skilled faculty, students and alumni," he remarked.

The Erivan K. Haub School of Business (HSB) is an international AACSB-accredited institution in business and accounting offering programs at the bachelor's, master's and executive master's levels. The school was named one of the nation's top business schools in the Princeton Review's The Best 222 Business Schools and is recognized by Beta Gamma Sigma, the honor society for AACSB-accredited institutions, as having an Outstanding Chapter and was recently awarded its Silver Chapter Award.
