Coming from Troy, Pennsylvania, Ave Burleigh arrived at Saint Joseph’s University in Fall 2016 to pursue an undergraduate degree in Biology. Aspiring to pursue a career in medicine, she minored in Behavioral Neuroscience and Health Care Ethics. In 2017, Ave joined the Institute and began working with the Hispanic and African Health Promoters. Since then, she has been actively involved with a few projects in the Institute and is currently a Graduate Fellow of the ICB. Under the mentorship of Father Clark, she decided to pursue a Masters degree in Health & Medical Services Administration prior to attending Medical School. She is currently the Graduate Assistant of the Institute of Clinical Bioethics. Her future plans are to attend medical school and become a doctor in the Army.
