1. What drew you to the special education/autism field?
I believe it's important to create space for everyone in society to have access to education, and to be treated with dignity. It is critical to me to work for organizations that promote these values.
2. What is your proudest moment at Kinney?
I'm happiest when I see our students feeling comfortable and accepted being just who they are. We are happy to adapt the program to suit their unique needs, not the other way around.
3. What is on your professional wish list for the next few years?
I'm so excited to help the ASPIRE program grow and expand into new territory. Our team is always brainstorming...stay tuned!
4. What is one thing that surprised you about working at Kinney?
What surprised me most (in a good way) is how many different roles we get to play on campus. The community has been so supportive of our mission and ASPIRE students really benefit from that.
5. What is your favorite thing to do outside of Kinney?
Cook, hot yoga, and run with my dog Scout!
