Clinical Student Requirements
Clinical Student Requirements - Coming Soon
The University is currently transitioning to a new system - Exxact - for vital document collection. Please return to this page in early June for more information.
All students enrolled in a clinically-based program at Saint Joseph's University - Lancaster must complete and maintain the clinical credentialing requirements. When the new system, Exxact, is implemented, it will be the account for your clinical program requirements and vital documents (medical documentation, health assessment, background clearances, CPR certification, etc.).
CPR Certification
The required CPR Certification is American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers CPR. Students can accomplish this in one of two ways. Once the CPR course is completed, the card, e-card, or credential must be uploaded to myCB for review.
Option #1:
Complete the American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers CPR on your own. Local courses can be found at https://www.onlineaha.org/.
Option #2:
Complete the American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers CPR during one of the College's scheduled courses, as space permits. This requires a separate registration found at Saint Joseph's University CPR Classes*.
Please note the type of class you need – Initial Provider (never certified) or Renewal (currently certified). If you carry Red Cross CPR Certification, you may attend one of the Renewal courses being offered to become certified as an American Heart Association provider.
*Saint Joseph’s Univeristy offered CPR courses may be canceled due to low enrollments and you may be asked to switch to a different class day/time if needed.
