Lieutenant Jason Beck

Lt Col Jason Beck is the Commander, Air Force Reserve Officers’ Training Corps (AFROTC) Detachment 750 and Chairs the Aerospace Studies Department at Saint Joseph’s University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. In this capacity, he is responsible for recruiting, developing, and commissioning the next generation of Air Force and Space Force leaders of character.

Lt Col Beck entered active duty in 2007 after graduating from the United States Air Force Academy in Colorado and earned his wings at Fort Novosel, Alabama. Following his first assignment as a UH-1N instructor pilot, he transitioned to the HH-60G, where he completed an operational assignment and an assignment as an instructor at the formal training unit. After attending the U.S. Army Command and General Staff College, Lt Col Beck served as the Rescue Assignments Officer at the Air Force Personnel Center, where he managed the careers of 960 rated officers and was responsible for manning across the UH-1N, HH-60G/W, and HC-130J communities. As Director of Operations, he led the 66th Rescue Squadron’s conversion to the HH-60W prior to its unit inactivation.

Lt Col Beck has accumulated more than 2,300 hours in the HH-60W, HH-60G, and UH-1N. Prior to his current assignment, he served as the Commander, 549th Combat Training Squadron, where he led Air Combat Command’s premier joint
fires integration exercise: GREEN FLAG.
