Well-being Coaching Program
Overview
What is Well-being Coaching?
At Saint Joseph’s, we embrace the Jesuit ideal of “care for the whole person.” This means that we recognize you are a multidimensional individual and all aspects of your life are equally worthy of care, development and attention. Well-being coaching at Saint Joseph's University offers students a supportive, student-centered space to explore and strengthen the many dimensions of their overall well-being. Through one-on-one conversations, students will:
- reflect on their current well-being habits,
- identify areas of strength and growth,
- set meaningful, achievable goals related to the nine dimensions of well-being. This may include goals around stress management, balance, motivation, relationships, and personal development.
Taking a proactive approach to well-being helps students build resilience, enhance academic performance, and develop lifelong skills that support both personal and professional success. By setting intentional goals and working collaboratively with a coach, students are empowered not just to manage challenges, but to truly thrive during their college experience and beyond.
Sessions take place in Campion 240 at Hawk Hill (or via zoom by request) and last approximately 45 minutes. Students are encouraged to attend two coaching sessions.

Peer Well-being coaches work in conjunction with the Office of Student Support & Well-being to offer nonjudgmental support, help students strengthen wellness habits, and connect them to campus resources when needed. Well-being coaches are trained to offer support around the 9 dimensions of well-being and meet with students individually to help them meet their well-being goals through positive behavior change.
