Writing Tutor Application Fall 2026
ENG 345: Tutor Practicum: Writing Center Theory & Practice

The SJU Writing Center invites undergraduate students of all majors to apply for ENG 345: Tutor Practicum, Writing Center Theory & Practice, a course that is offered once a year in the fall semester. In Fall 2026, the course will be offered Monday, Wednesday, Friday from 9:05 a.m. to 9:55 a.m. in the Writing Center on the Hawk Hill campus. All students who successfully complete the course are eligible to be hired for paid positions in the Writing Center beginning the following semester.

Applications are due by midnight on Monday, March 23. We will hold interviews for finalists Wednesday, March 25 through Friday, March 27. We expect to inform candidates by Monday, March 30, ahead of the registration period, which begins on March 31 for undergraduate students.
