Glasser/Woodland Hall

Located at our University City location, the Glasser/Woodland Hall complex is home to the health professions programs in the School of Health Professions at Saint Joseph’s University. Here, you’ll find state-of-the-art clinical laboratories, equipment and facilities that support the projects, research and evidence-based practice for our OT, PA, PT, PA and PharmD programs.

Pediatric Sensory Lab

OT students have access to the Sensational Kids Lab, a pediatric occupational therapy lab made possible by more than $30,000 in grant funding from, among other resources, the Christian R. & Mary F. Lindback Foundation and the McLean Contributionship. The lab features:

  • A ball pit that helps with sensory feedback and gross motor activities
  • Swings that aid in body control and balance
  • A rock wall that helps children learn about three-dimensional space and weight-bearing
  • Sound wired room that allows faculty to give students real-time feedback

The lab is an integral part of an OT student’s education each semester. First-year students are introduced to this space in their Interventions I class and use it to learn about treatment plans, evaluating patients, and case-based reasoning as they approach their clinical rotations in their final year.

BTE Technologies™ Advanced Training and Research Lab

The BTE Technologies™ Advanced Training and Research Lab features high-quality equipment and software that allows OT and PT students to learn about the most effective treatment options on the most up-to-date machines. BTE is widely regarded as the leading provider of advanced solutions for testing and rehabilitation and has always been known for its excellence in work simulation and therapy.

This lab is equipped with some of the most advanced technology in the field including:

  • BTE Primus RS Rehabilitation System
  • BTE-Eccectron
  • BTE Eval Tech Functional Testing System
