Upcoming Family Days

Get creative with us on Family Day! Our family days are typically held on Saturdays from 12-3 pm. They are free and open to the public! We have themed activities that are suitable for all ages. Visitors can also enjoy access to the 12-acre Barnes Arboretum.

4 pm: Reception ends; Photography Walk in the Barnes Arboretum


Start off the season with art, creativity, and fun at the Maguire Art Museum! See and interact with new works by artists Maria Dumlao and Julianna Foster as part of 20/20 Photo Festival, and hear from the artists at 3 PM. Make art and crafts, enjoy refreshments, and learn about artistic and photographic processes.

Unique Photo will be providing a shuttle from downtown Philadelphia to the Maguire Art Museum for 20/20 Photo Festival guests. Learn more about the shuttle and other 20/20 artist talks here.

 
Saturday, September 20, 12pm - 3 pm

HawkFest! Margaret Gest: Painting at the Threshold Opening Reception
Celebrate HawkFest at the Maguire Art Museum! All are welcome to join for the opening of the groundbreaking Margaret Gest: Painting at the Threshold in 20th C. Philadelphia, the first major solo exhibition of Gest’s work. Get creative with artmaking inspired by Gest’s work, and show your Hawk Pride with fun crafts and activities like keychains, journal decorating, and more! Take a guided tour at 2 pm or try a scavenger hunt.

Free and open to the public! All ages welcome. 

Please note that the museum is only accessible from Lapsley Ln via City Ave. The museum is not accessible from Latch's Ln.
