In celebration of the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence in the city of Philadelphia, the Maguire Art Museum presents an exhibition of art that showcases why Philadelphia is an incredible place to live, work, play, and explore! Whether it's the vibrant culture, the unique neighborhoods, the dynamic people, or the endless opportunities for fun and creativity — the city of brotherly love truly special.
• The people: The diverse, passionate, and inspiring individuals that make Philly feel like home.
• The culture: The unique traditions, art, food, music and events that define the heart and soul of Philly.
• Neighborhoods: Explore what makes your local streets, parks, or hidden gems feel special.
• Work & Play: Show how Philly balances career opportunities and leisure activities in a way that makes it a perfect place to thrive.
• Community: How the spirit of cooperation, kindness, and togetherness makes Philly a welcoming place for all.
The exhibition will include a community participation wall where visitors can respond to similar prompts.
