A Juried High School Art Exhibition
May 22 - June 6, 2026
Closing Reception: June 6, 1 - 3 PM
The Freedom Within is a dynamic and thought-provoking art exhibit showcasing original works from over 50 high school students across the tri-state area, representing more than 20 schools. Each student was invited to interpret the theme “finding freedom within”—a concept as expansive as it is personal—resulting in a diverse collection of pieces that explore identity, resilience, self-expression, and inner growth.
From bold visual statements to quiet, introspective works, the exhibit highlights the powerful perspectives of emerging young artists and the many ways freedom can be discovered and defined. All submissions were carefully juried by the Saint Joseph's University Art and Art History Department. Thanks to a generous anonymous donor, awards will be presented to the top three artists whose works demonstrate exceptional creativity and insight.
We invite you to experience this inspiring collection and celebrate the voices of the next generation. Join us for the closing reception on June 6th from 1 - 3 PM, where we will honor the artists and their achievements.
