Key Areas of Change:

  • Users will have the ability to accept calls to their SJU number on any device, enabling remote work in a seamless manner.
  • The new solution will require an app on the user’s SJU-provided laptop or desktop to send and receive calls from an SJU number when remote.
  • Physical phones will not be provided to all staff and faculty.

Consider the following in your area:

  • How have your phone needs changed?
    • Do you still need a dedicated extension?
    • How often are you using your phone?
    • How often do you use your personal cell number for SJU business and how will that change now that your phone number can come with you?
  • Does your department have specialized phone needs such as call trees, call center functionality, phones not assigned with an employee, etc.?
