Spanish Minor

Foreign news correspondents, interpreters, translators, media professionals, business executives, nonprofit employees and people in the social service industry can all benefit from knowing Spanish as a second language. Minoring in Spanish with a major from any discipline prepares students to communicate clearly with one of the largest populations in the United States, as well as much of the world. Graduates with a working knowledge of the Spanish language enjoy distinction as prospective candidates for jobs, as bilingual and multilingual employees are increasingly in demand. It is the second most used language in international communication and an official language of the United Nations and its affiliate organizations.
