50th Reunion Golden Hawks

This year marks a momentous milestone, your 50th anniversary as a Saint Joseph’s University graduate. 

As you prepare to return to Hawk Hill for your 50th Reunion Weekend (Sept. 19–20, 2026), you’ll join fellow Golden Hawks in celebrating five decades of memories and connection. 

The weekend will feature signature events such as the Golden Hawks Induction Luncheon, a private tour of the Frances M. Maguire Art Museum, and guided tours of campus a chance to revisit familiar places, see what’s changed in the past 50 years and experience Saint Joseph’s through a new lens.

    10 a.m.: Tour of Frances M. Maguire Art Museum
    Location: Frances M. Maguire Art Museum at Saint Joseph's University (Bldg #61)

    Get a first hand look at the Maguire Museum, hear from Carmen Croce, Director of Scholarly Press, University Press and Curator as he walks you through the SJU collection and history.

     

    11:30 a.m. - 1 p.m.: Class of 1976 Campus Bus Tours
    Location:Erivan K. Haub Executive Center | 5th floor McShain Hall (Bldg #46)
    Cost:  Complimentary

    • Enjoy a bus tour of campus, highlighting the many changes over the past 50 years. Stops include:
      Main campus
    • Michael J. Hagan '85 Arena
    • University Bookstore
    • James J. Maguire '58 Campus
    • Maguire Wolfington Welcome Center (Formally the Cardinal's Residence)


    Noon-3 p.m.:  Hawk Hill Alumni Picnic 
    Location: St. Mary’s & Curran Lawns
    Cost: $10 for guests: complimentary for Class of 1975
    Join the SJU community of students, parents, alumni, faculty and families, and take a break from your day and enjoy time with Hawks. Featuring local fare, beer and wine garden, live music, performances by student a cappella groups 54th and City, City Belles, and Hawkapella.  


    1 p.m.:  Hospitality Suite for the Class of 1975 & guests
    Location:  Erivan K. Haub Executive Center | 5th floor McShain Hall (Bldg #46)
    Relax, reconnect with old friends, and unwind after a fun-filled day of reunion activities. Stop by to take a break, share stories, and enjoy light refreshments in good company.


    5 p.m: Welcome Back Reception for the Class of 1975
    Location: Maguire Wolfington Welcome Center (Bldg #26 )
    Cost:  Class of 1975 Complimentary;  Guests $50.00
    Join classmates and their guests for conversation, cocktails, hors d’oeuvres and light dinner stations as you “stroll” down memory lane at this celebration of your 50th reunion.

    9 a.m.:  Class of 1976 and Golden Hawks Mass
    Location: Chapel of Saint Joseph (Bldg. #16)
    Celebrate mass with your 1976 classmates, the Golden Hawks and SJU community.


    10:30 a.m. :  Class of 1976 Induction to the Golden Hawks and the Golden Hawks Reunion Luncheon

  • The 50th Reunion Weekend is a festive recreational event. Dress casually and comfortably.

    In past years, many alumni have chosen to wear a sport coat or jacket and tie for the class photo.

  • The printed postcard invitation will be in the mail by the beginning of April 2026. If you do not receive the invite by the end of April, please contact Lynn Langnas at (610) 660-3467 or email Lynn at llangnas@sju.edu.

  • We ask all participants to submit registration and payments by Monday, September 7, 2026 to ensure the quality and success of the 50th Reunion Weekend.

  • We strongly encourage pre-registration for all events to ensure proper space and meal planning. 

  • The bookstore will be open over the 50th Reunion Weekend and we will make a special stop during the campus tours. Hours are:

    • Thursday: 9 a.m. - 7 p.m.
    • Friday: 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. 
  • Make Your Gift

    Your gift, regardless of designation, will count toward the totals announced at the Induction Luncheon. If you have questions or would prefer to submit your gift by phone, contact Maura Slatowski at (610) 660-1244 or mslatows@sju.edu.

  • Both your gift and the match your company makes will count in your Reunion Class Gift total. Be sure to contact your company’s human resources office prior to making your gift to determine whether or not your company matches. A company match is an excellent way to increase the value of your Reunion gift.
