All are invited to campus to celebrate PCP Founders' Day 2023 which commemorates the founding of Philadelphia College of Pharmacy on February 23, 1821.

Schedule of Events

Integrated Professional Education Complex (IPEX) building on the Saint Joseph's University City Campus (formerly PCPS/USciences campus).

  • 6 P.M. Welcome and Registration
    • We encourage you to stop by early! Student-led tours of Griffith Hall and the Marvin Samson Center for the History of Pharmacy will begin at 5 P.M.
  • 6:30 P.M. Program and Presentation of Awards
  • 7 P.M. Reception - heavy appetizers, open bar and additional tours and demonstrations

The PCP Young Alumni Award was created to honor an alum who has received their degree within the past 15 years and who has shown outstanding promise and success in their professional career. Congratulations to Jack Korbutov, PharmD '2011, FACA, FACVP as the first recipient of this award.

The William Procter Jr. Award, was created in honor of William Procter Jr., PCP graduate, faculty member and widely considered the Father of American Pharmacy. This award recognizes an outstanding alum who exemplifies the entrepreneurial spirit of our founding fathers and has provided outstanding service to the College and profession. Congratulations to Daniel Hussar, P'62, MS'64, PhD'67, Dean Emeritus and Remington Professor on being named the inaugural recipient of the William Procter Jr. Medal!
