Transfer Students

Transition Program for Transfer Students

After transferring to Saint Joseph's University, you will be invited to attend a multi-event orientation program held by the Office of Student Success. The orientation program is designed to help you meet other students, participate in social activities, learn more about life on Hawk Hill and have access to resources that will support your success. The program is led by former transfer students who can provide firsthand advice and mentorship to incoming students.

The orientation program is offered in August for transfer students who are starting at Saint Joseph's in the fall, and in January for first-year and transfer students who are starting in the spring. First-year students who are starting in the fall are invited to attend the summer orientation program.

SPRING ORIENTATION

Saint Joseph’s University has been recognized on the Phi Theta Kappa (PTK) Honor Roll as a transfer-friendly institution. Orientation programs will help you navigate your transition to Saint Joseph’s, build your Hawk network and get to know your new home.  Register for orientation events or through the link on your To Do List in the Nest.

Transfer Student Orientation

Friday, January 9th- 10:30am-3:00pm

New Saint Joseph’s students will be introduced to campus resources, leadership, mentors, expectations and ways to get involved with your new community. Hear from staff in offices such as the Advising Center, Student Leadership & Activities, Campus Recreation, the Center for Inclusion and Diversity, along with a transfer student panel.

Transfer mentors — all former transfer students — will provide small group campus tours of the Hawk Hill campus, including a stop at each of the classroom locations on your academic schedule for the upcoming semester. Parents/guardians or other support persons are welcome to attend their own separate session to learn how to help you navigate your transition to Saint Joseph’s.

Lunch is provided for all attendees.
