Mandatory Training Requirements

2. Care and Use of AnimalsAll SJU faculty, staff, postdocs, graduate, and undergraduate students involved in animal care, use, or treatment.Before Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee (IACUC) protocol approval.Contact ORS for renewal requirements.
3. Conflict of Interest (COI)All investigators on Public Health Service (PHS)-funded grants/contracts, and others required by ORS (e.g., existing conflicts, non-compliance).Complete CITI COI training.4 years. Refresher required every 4 years.

Completing Your CITI Training

  1. Access CITI: Visit https://about.citiprogram.org/. Log in or register. New users must affiliate with Saint Joseph’s University.
  2. Enroll: From the homepage, click "View Courses," then "Add Course." Answer the prompts to enroll in the correct Learner Group.
  3. Complete Modules: Start the course. Complete all required modules and quizzes, along with the necessary elective modules.
  4. Submit Report: Once finished, access your completion report via the "Print Report" link. Submit this report/certificate to the Office of Research Services (ORS).
