The WellNest at Saint Joseph’s University Counseling and Psychological Services is a calming wellness room designed to help you slow down and take a mindful break from the pace of campus life. Whether you have ten minutes between classes or need a quiet space to decompress, the WellNest offers a comfortable environment to support your mental and emotional wellbeing.
What You’ll Find
The WellNest includes a variety of mindfulness and relaxation tools to help you manage daily stress, such as:
- Comfortable seating and low-light space for quiet reflection
- Calming sensory items
- Sound machine to help you focus and relax
- Coloring book pages and colored pencils
- A mindful Zen garden
- Affirmation Station for reading, writing, and taking positive messages
- Guided mindfulness and breathing exercises
- Light therapy box (recommended for use in the mornings)

How to Access the WellNest
The WellNest is open to all students of the Saint Joseph’s University community and is located in the CAPS office at Sister Thea Bowman Hall. You do not have to be a CAPS client to use the WellNest. Please contact CAPS at 610-660-1090 to reserve a time between 9:00 am and 4:00 pm for uninterrupted use. The WellNest can be reserved for a maximum of one hour at a time, and is designed to be used by a single student.
