The beginning of the fall 2019 semester brought a new safety resource to current students, faculty and staff on Hawk Hill. The Office of Public Safety and Security is now offering a custom safety app — SJU Safe. The app went live in the App Store and Google Play in late August. It works in conjunction with the SJU Mobile App.

SJU Safe key features include:

Mobile BlueLight - Sends your location and calls Public Safety simultaneously

Virtual Walk - Allows for a member of Public Safety to virtually escort you to your destination, home or car.

Friend Walk - Allows for a friend to virtually escort you to your destination, home or car.

Safety Alerts - Receive push notification of emergency and safety alerts

Report a Tip - Send a tip to Public Safety

Emergency Plans - Review plans and procedures of various emergency scenarios

Emergency Contacts - Quickly access Public Safety or 911
