Real Estate & Construction Alumni Chapter
Overview
The Real Estate & Construction Alumni Chapter features a dynamic group of alumni volunteers who work in the real estate and construction industry. The RE&C Chapter hosts several events throughout the year to connect alumni professionally, personally, with the University and with students interested in careers in the industry.
We are always excited to connect with alumni interested in becoming more active with our chapter. Reach out to learn more about current volunteer opportunities or let us know your ideas for future programming by emailing REC_Hawks@sju.edu. Hope to see you at an event soon!
Events and Awards
We have several events throughout the year including industry panels, networking events and SJU basketball game watches and pregame receptions. Our annual Christmas Luncheon presents the the Timothy R. Lannon, S.J., Leader of the Year Award to a leader in the field who has shown outstanding loyalty, dedication and service to the University.
Mentorship Program
The Real Estate & Construction Mentorship Program is facilitated and organized through the SJU Connects platform. Visit https://sju.firsthand.co/ and select "Give Advice" to register as an advisor. We recommend importing your professional information from LinkedIn (all of your personal contact information will remain private). Be sure to choose the services you would like to provide and the times you are available. After you complete your account set-up, join the Real Estate & Construction Alumni Chapter affinity group within the platform. This group helps facilitate connections and conversations between our alumni volunteers and students interested in the real estate and construction industry. If you have questions about this program, email Joe Wutkowski ’16 at joseph.wutkowski@gmail.com.
Student Outcome Stories
When the vision of Saint Joseph's University Real Estate and Construction Alumni Chapter came to fruition more than a decade ago, one of the chapter's founding tenets was establishing strong mentoring and networking programs. The goal was to aid SJU students and recent graduates in making connections, obtaining internships and securing positions in the industry. A sampling of the success stories can be found through the SJU Outcomes site.
Academics
Saint Joseph's University offers a real estate finance certificate that can be completed as a standalone certificate or as part the Master's of Finance program or the stackable MBA.
