Application Process

• The Saint Joseph’s University Application Portal for the 2027-2028 recruitment cycle will open on Monday, September 28, 2026.
  • Please search in the portal for the program(s) to which you want to apply. You may apply to multiple programs. However, a separate application is required for each program.
• Submit the following application materials:
  • Letter of intent
  • Curriculum vitae
  • Writing sample: Example of drug information response (other non-peer reviewed material is acceptable)
    • General Guidelines:
      • You must be the sole author of the work
      • Presentations will not be accepted
      • Maximum of 1-2 pages
  • Unofficial transcript(s)
  • Contact information for 3 references: please include the name, degree(s), job title, email address, and phone number for each reference

• Applying early is highly recommended. First round interviews will be offered on a rolling basis and the likelihood of receiving one is higher with an early application submission.
• The application will close on Monday, October 12, 2026 11:59 PM (EST) or when the number of applicants have reached max capacity, whichever comes sooner.

Once all application materials have been received through the Saint Joseph's University Application Portal, invitations for virtual first round interviews will be offered on a rolling basis. First-round interviews will take place between October through November and will consist of a 30-minute interview with a fellow and/or preceptors.

Recommendation requests will be sent via email to the references provided in the candidate's application. Candidates must provide contact information for three (3) references, each of whom must submit their recommendation no later than 11:59PM (EST) on the final interview date.

Candidates will be contacted by current fellows for final-round interviews and next steps. First offers will be given on Friday, December 11, 2026.

Please note: The reference process has changed from a questionnaire to a traditional letter of recommendation for this recruitment cycle.

Letters of recommendation will only be requested for candidates selected for a final-round interview. Our team will contact recommenders directly with instructions for submitting their letter. Candidates are responsible for notifying their references in advance and ensuring that their letters are submitted by the specified deadline.

The writing sample should demonstrate the candidate’s ability to effectively communicate scientific and technical information. While the preferred format is a drug information question and response, candidates may submit other examples of independent work that they believe best showcase their scientific writing and communication skills. The writing sample must be the candidate’s own work and may not include peer-reviewed publications, collaborative presentations, or any other co-authored materials. PowerPoint slide decks will not be accepted as writing samples, even if they were created independently by the candidate.

The system does not allow applicants to re-upload materials to an existing application. To proceed, you will need to withdraw your current application, create a new account using a different email address, and submit a new application.

We recommend that candidates submit a tailored letter of intent for each program for which they are applying.

We are able to accept candidates with one-year OPT work authorization; hence, candidates with this designation are only eligible for our one-year fellowship programs. We are not able to sponsor or accept applicants requiring a STEM OPT extension. 

PhD candidates are eligible for Incyte Global Medical Affairs HEOR, Epidemiology, and Statistics, Incyte Global Regulatory Affairs (not recruiting for 2027), Incyte Medical Information/Medical Affairs, and Incyte Global Risk Management & Safety Surveillance (not recruiting for 2027).

MPH candidates are eligible for Incyte Global Medical Affairs HEOR, Epidemiology, and Statistics.
