The two-year Medical Affairs fellowship in Hematologic Malignancies at Johnson & Johnson offers a comprehensive, rotational experience across Medical and Scientific Communications, Medical Excellence, and Real-World Value & Evidence (RWV&E), with the potential to gain field exposure by shadowing a Medical Science Liaison. In the first year, the fellow focuses on Medical and Scientific Communications, developing skills in analyzing and communicating clinical data, authoring scientific materials, supporting congress activities, and collaborating on key opinion leader engagement strategies. The second year includes a 6-month rotation in Medical Excellence, where the fellow conducts market research, analyzes real-world healthcare provider sentiment, and supports the development of medical strategies, including health equity initiatives. This is followed by a 3-month RWV&E rotation, where the fellow gains experience in literature reviews, basic economic and comparative effectiveness analyses, and contributes to scientific publications and the dissemination of real-world data. Overall, the program is designed to equip fellows with the strategic, analytical, and communication skills needed to succeed in a dynamic oncology medical affairs environment.
