About the Fellowship

This two-year fellwship provides PharmD graduates with an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the pharmaceutical industry. Fellows will learn how clinical pharmacology contributes to drug development while building scientific leadership, and professional skills through meaningful projects and cross-functional collaboration.

What the Fellow Will Learn

The fellow will develop expertise in:

• Working with Global Product Teams (GPTs) to create and execute clinical pharmacology development strategies
• Designing, planning, and authoring clinical pharmacology studies
• Providing scientific oversight and collaborating with clinical operations teams and external vendors to ensure successful study execution

Key Responsibilities and Experiences

During the fellowship, the fellow will:

• Contribute to the design, execution, analysis, and interpretation of early clinical development and clinical pharmacology studies
• Gain an understanding of how individual studies support broader drug development strategies
• Draft sections of important clinical and regulatory documents, including:
  • Investigational New Drug applications (INDs)
  • New Drug Applications (NDAs)
  • Clinical Trial Applications (CTAs)
• Work closely with cross-functional partners (e.g., clinical operations, biostatistics, regulatory affairs, pharmacometrics, and safety teams) to support study execution and deliverables
• Present scientific data internally and contribute to external scientific communications, such as publications, abstracts, and presentations
• Gain exposure to the entire drug development process, from First-In-Human (FIH) studies through regulatory approval

Overall Goal

By the end of the fellowship, participants will have a strong foundation in clinical pharmacology and early drug development, along with practical experience working within multidisciplinary drug development teams in a collaborative, research-focused environment.
