Call for Proposals

GPASC invites proposals for its annual undergraduate conference on Asian Studies.

Topics can relate to any area of Asia, Asian Studies, and the Asian Diaspora—especially Asian America! Formats can include research papers, posters, group presentations, and creative work (digital, performance, artwork, etc.). Presentations should plan for about 12-15 minutes. Be sure to identify a faculty sponsor for your work (this can be your advisor or any professor who agrees). Faculty sponsors are welcome but not required to attend the conference.

Please submit your proposal or abstract summary (250 words max) using this form.

Prizes

We will award $500 in prizes for the most outstanding papers of the conference! Priority will be given to papers and presentations that are complete and submitted in advance. Please send completed work to lcomeau@sju.edu by March 20th, 2026 for special consideration.

Other Program Details

This year’s conference will be held at Saint Joseph’s University and the Maguire Art Museum. There are no fees or costs to attend or participate in this year’s conference. Parking is available on campus. Updates and the conference schedule will be posted on this event page.

All are welcome!
