The Department of Marketing at Saint Joseph’s University provides students with the knowledge, skills and experience needed to stand out from the crowd in today’s ever-changing and challenging marketplace. Marketing majors will become well-versed in the latest promotional techniques, digital media options and consumer behavior trends while developing a solid foundation of marketing theory. Our strong industry ties offer ample real world insights via guest speakers, field trips, case studies and internships.
The marketing department is dedicated to equipping students with the skills necessary to design marketing plans, promotional campaigns and research projects. Students will interact with a diverse faculty comprised of world-renowned scholars, industry experts and corporate executives.
In addition to general marketing, the department offers programs in advertising and promotion, sports and entertainment. Saint Joseph’s University Launches Multi-Faceted Esports Program: In fall 2020, Saint Joseph's offered its first academic course in esports marketing, taught by Jim Multari '05 (MBA), vice president of national sales strategy and insights at Comcast Corporation. First-Year Student Pursues Passion for Diversity and Inclusion Work: Cierra Parker '24, a first-year marketing major, is making strides to promote diversity and inclusion on Hawk Hill. Parker hopes to work with corporations to improve their diversity, equity and inclusion policies after earner her marketing degree at Saint Joseph's University.
