University Galleries
Saint Joseph’s University’s visual arts tradition has grown from a modest gallery space carved out of Boland Hall in the 1970s into a vibrant network of exhibition venues that regularly connect students, faculty and the wider community with diverse artistic practice. Over the decades, student and professional shows expanded into dedicated spaces in Merion Hall and Boland Hall, referred to a the University Galleries. While this archive does not capture the program’s earliest years, it preserves the majority of exhibitions from recent decades — offering a window into the University’s enduring commitment to the visual arts and the creative voices that have shaped its campus culture.
