Move-In Options
We are excited to offer multiple move-in options over different dates to provide a smooth move-in for everyone.
- Drop & Go Appointments: Students will have 2 hours of temporary access at their appointment time to move in and settle into their room. After this appointment, students depart campus and return on the move-in date for their building
- Move-In Appointments: Students moving in during the Move-In Weekend will be able to access an unloading area near their building to unload their vehicle. After unloading and relocating the vehicle, students and families may take as much time as needed to unpack and get settled
Early Arrivals: Students participating in University events that require an arrival date outside of the published Drop & Go and Move-In Appointments will be approved to arrive on the date determined by their program. Students who have a need to arrive early may submit a request for review (see instructions below). Residence Life will approve students on a limited basis and for extraordinary needs.

Move-In Maps & Locations
We are excited to see you on campus! Please select your location below to view a Move-In Map and additional directions for your arrival.
What to Bring
All rooms come furnished with one bed, desk, desk chair and dresser per person. Keep in mind that the room is small and that you will be sharing this space with another person. Talk with your roommate and decide what you will bring with you and what items you can share. Also, make sure to review the list below of items you can't bring.
As you review this information, please also check out the following vendor with whom we partner for information regarding micro-fridge rental. While it is not required to utilize this vendor/option, arranging this item in advance is helpful to some students.
Pack with sustainability in mind:
As you prepare for your move to Hawk Hill, we encourage you to pack with sustainability in mind. Saint Joseph’s University is committed to sustainability and environmental stewardship and aims to minimize our collective impact on the environment.
We encourage sustainable living on campus, and throughout your time at SJU. We encourage purchasing consciously, using recycled products, reusing items, and developing community by sharing items with roommates and fellow students within your community.
